Inkshed 28 Conference: Toronto May 29-30
Welcome to the new Inkshed Newsletter, published by CASLL (the Canadian Association for the Study of Language and Learning). This site invites you to read and contribute to online discussion about language, writing and learning. It reflects CASLL’s mandate to explore the ways that theory and practice intersect in the study and teaching of writing and reading. The new site extends the reach of the historic Inkshed Website, which archives more than 25 years of lively newsletter issues, and it adds an easily navigable display to the email capacity of the Inkshed listserv.
Use the links in the top and side menus to navigate the site, including both newsletter pieces and blog posts, and please join the discussion!
A Message from our moderator, Margaret Procter
This site takes advantage of WordPress software to enable the lively discussions typical of Inkshed. The Newsletter section is for articles, reviews, accounts of research, investigations of theoretical or practical questions, and short reflective stories and poems. The sidebar contains Blog Posts, with timely announcements and short opinion pieces that invite multiple responses. Posts and responses are saved in a searchable archive.
Besides reading, you can also write for the site. Reply boxes on newsletter pages and blogs invite direct responses. The Contribute section outlines the process for sending new blog posts and newsletter articles to keep the discussion going.
